Fortress Fit is built to be private by default. Your training, body, and health information stays on your device and in your own private iCloud. We do not run analytics, we do not use third-party trackers or advertising, and we have no servers that receive your personal data.
Apple Health (HealthKit) data. With your explicit permission, Fortress Fit reads health and fitness information — such as steps, sleep, heart rate, heart-rate variability, and workout metrics — from Apple Health. This data is used only on your device to display insights and is never transmitted to us or to any third party. We never use Health data for advertising or marketing, and we never sell it or share it. The app may also write workout data back to Apple Health when you ask it to. You can review or revoke these permissions at any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps.
Training and body data you enter. Workouts, programs, sets, body weight, and check-ins that you log are stored on your device and synced using Apple's CloudKit to your personal, private iCloud account. This information lives in your iCloud — the developer cannot see or access it.
Sign in with Apple. The app uses Sign in with Apple to keep you signed in. We store only the anonymous account identifier Apple provides, and the display name you choose, locally on your device (in the secure keychain). Apple's handling of Sign in with Apple is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Fortress Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription (Founder Monthly, which may include an introductory free trial) and as a one-time purchase (Founder Lifetime). All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment card, billing address, or other payment details — Apple handles payment entirely. To unlock Pro features, the app verifies your purchase status directly with Apple using StoreKit; this check happens on your device and does not involve any server operated by us. Trial eligibility, renewals, and refunds are all handled by Apple. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel them anytime in your App Store account settings. Your purchases are also governed by Apple's Terms of Use (EULA).
Complimentary access. A small built-in list of email addresses — the developer's own account and any designated reviewer or test accounts — is granted Fortress Pro without a purchase. This works by comparing the email from your Sign in with Apple session against that built-in list entirely on your device; no email or account information is sent to us or any third party.
Because your data lives on your device and in your private iCloud, you are in control of it. You can delete individual workouts, sessions, and entries inside the app, export your data at any time, or remove all app data by deleting the app and removing its data from iCloud in your Apple ID settings. Health permissions can be revoked in the Apple Health app.
Because we do not collect or store your personal data on any server we operate, there is no account profile for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf — you remain in full control of your information on your device and in your iCloud at all times. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; since we hold none of your personal data, those rights are exercised directly through your device, your Apple Health settings, and your Apple ID. Fortress Fit is not directed to children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
